Vollmar Named Runner of the Week

Senior Curtis Vollmar has been named the MAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University senior Curtis Vollmar (Grand Blanc, Mich.-Grand Blanc) was named the Mid-American Conference men's cross country Runner of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday, Oct. 28. This is the second time this season he has won the award.

In the men's 10K event at the EMU Fall Classic, Oct. 23, Curtis Vollmar bested several former teammates to finish first with a time of 32:08.00. Vollmar edged former teammates and EMU standouts Josh Karanja and Corey Nowitzke, who finished second and third, respectively.

The Eagles are back in action Saturday, Oct. 31, for the MAC Championship in Athens, Ohio
