Vollmar Garners MAC Runner of the Week Accolades

Senior captain named MAC Runner of the Week for the second time this season.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University men's cross country senior captain Curtis Vollmar (Grand Blanc, Mich.-Grand Blanc) has been named the Mid-American Conference Runner of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday, Oct. 13. The award marks Vollmar's second MAC accolade this season.

Last week, Oct. 9, at the 8,000-meter Michigan Intercollegiate in Grand Rapids, Vollmar braved the sloppy course conditions to finish fifth overall with a time of 25:19. Vollmar has placed in the top five in each one of EMU's races this season.

 

Vollmar and the Eagles are back in action Saturday, Oct. 17, for the Falcon Invitational in Bowling Green, Ohio.
