YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team wrapped up its fall practices Sunday, Oct. 11, with the annual Green versus White series at Oestrike Stadium.

Behind six hits and four RBI from junior Zack Leonard (Canton, Ohio-McKinley) and solid performances on the mound from senior Steve Young (Port Huron, Mich.-Port Huron Northern-Jackson C.C.) and sophomore Kendall Lewis (Huntsville, Ohio-Indian Lake), the Green squad won the series, 2-0, taking game one, 16-6, and game two, 12-2.

Senior infielder Aaron Crooks (Toledo, Ohio-Ottawa Hills) went a combined 3-for-7 in the series, including a three-run homer and two-run double in game one to finish with a game-high five RBI.

True freshman Brett Cisper (Loveland, Ohio-Moeller) also homered for the Eagles in game one, while senior Todd Graves (St. Mary's, Ohio-St. Mary's Memorial) finished the series with a pair of homers as well.

For the White squad, junior captain Matt Skirving (Midland, Mich.-H.H. Dow) supplied most of its offense, belting a pair of homers in game two to finish with three RBI.

The Eagles begin the 2010 season on the road when they head to Lawrence, Kan. for a three-game set with the Kansas Jayhawks, Feb. 19-21.
